Future
Facilities Incorporated’s 6SigmaET thermal simulation software is
designed to solve the problem of how to shrink electronics devices
that generate heat.
APC
by Schneider Electric has announced parallel capabilities of the
Symmetra PX 250/500 kW three-phase modular and hot scalable
uninterruptible power supply (UPS). This firmware ships standard on
all Symmetra PX250/500 kW units which can now be paralleled to
deliver up to 2 MW of power protection, or 1.5 MW in a system level
redundancy (N+1) configuration.
Simplex
Isolation Systems has developed a simplified process for providing
design advice to data center managers facing cooling challenges. The
process begins with a four-page questionnaire that asks the data
center manager to provide details about the infrastructure--the use
of raised floors, ceiling types, the current cooling method, hot air
return, fire suppression, and other details. There is also a page
that allows the data center manager to provide a sketch of the
existing data center.
Modius
Inc. and LogicMonitor have formed a technology partnership to develop
advanced monitoring capabilities for power and cooling
infrastructure, allowing data center managers to generate a unified
view of IT performance and energy consumption across entire data
centers.
The
popular Evolution Cable Management line now includes a combination
vertical cable manager with T-shaped cable guides in the front and
removable, C-shaped cable rings in the back for managing large cable
bundles.
APC
by Schneider Electric announced additions to the Essential
Series Surge Protectors family, which offer guaranteed
lifetime protection from dangerous power transients. All models in
this new line provide multi-stage surge protection as well as noise
reduction, with select models offering additional features including
10/100 BaseT Ethernet surge protection jacks and USB charger ports to
serve the needs of both home and business users.
Emerson
Network Power’s Smart Solutions is a family of intelligent,
integrated infrastructure systems for the data center, configured to
speed implementation, adapt to change, and reduce costs. The SmartRow
offering is a unique, standalone data center infrastructure that
supports up to 20 kW of IT equipment in an enclosed, multi-rack
configuration with integrated power, cooling, infrastructure
management, and fire suppression.
The
HP TFT7600 G2 KVM console is designed for local access to servers.
This console has a new 17.3-in. WXGA+ Active Matrix TFT display, is
Energy Star compliant, and its 1U format and tool-less rails allow
for easy mounting in any rack enclosure. The console is ideal for
data centers, corporate computer rooms, and even small business
installations where local access to servers is needed at the
rack.
The company’s RTS Series and three-cycle rated automatic transfer switches are equipped with the RPTCS microprocessor automatic transfer control system.
