Kyndryl, the world's largest IT infrastructure services provider, recently announced an extension of its managed datacenter services agreement with Saint-Gobain in South America. With the extended agreement, Kyndryl will continue to manage Saint-Gobain's datacenter infrastructure in the region and optimize IT resources for greater efficiency and cost savings.

Saint-Gobain, an industry player in lightweight and sustainable construction, is attentive to global challenges in the construction industry. The company relies on Kyndryl to manage its datacenter infrastructure services, with the goal of reducing resource consumption, streamlining processes and modernizing the company's IT operations in South America.

Kyndryl will assess and migrate critical databusiness applications to new servers running at Saint-Gobain's datacenter in the region. By entrusting Kyndryl with the management of its datacenter, including server space, operating systems, databases, middleware and ITIL processes, Saint-Gobain's IT team will focus on digital transformation for future cloud and data journeys. With the renewal, Saint-Gobain will also work with Kyndryl Consult, which will assess the company's overall IT environment and help plan for future investments in technology infrastructure.

"Our mission is to lead with sustainable innovation and inspire others to collectively contribute to responsible practices in our industry," said Cristina Carvalho, Saint-Gobain's IT Director for Latin America. "With a technology partner like Kyndryl managing our datacenter operation, we can build an adaptable structure that is prepared for future availability demands as well as technological changes in the industry."

"We are honored to work with Saint-Gobain in South America and help the company advance its important mission of increasing internal efficiencies and setting new benchmarks for the construction industry," said Frank Koja, Managing Director of Kyndryl Brazil. "Kyndryl has extensive experience managing complex technology infrastructures, delivering the most modern, efficient and secure solutions for our customers' operations."
