Integrated Design Group has announced the success of its fifth annual 21st Century Data Center Symposium (21CDCS) held in Dallas. This informative, full-day conference was focused on facilitating discussions about working internationally, with particular attention paid to this year’s theme: “The Future of Data Centers: Thinking Locally, Delivering Globally.
The Master of Ceremonies for this year’s symposium was Mike Bell, electrical group leader for Integrated Design Group in Dallas. Presentations throughout the day included a discussion by Guidepost Solutions on international security, followed by a presentation on critical pathways in construction and decommissioning for data centers, by KIO Networks.
The day finished with presentations by Primary Integration Solutions on addressing the commissioning challenges of international operations during the design phase, and by Integrated Design Group on international codes, certifications, and regulations.
Panel discussions pertained to challenges when procuring equipment in Latin America; what to know when working south of the border; and working in the Middle East and Asia. Panelist experts fromTurner Construction Company, GE Critical Power, Emerson Network Power, DPR Construction, Verizon Terremark, KMD Architects, 451 Planning Advisors, Critical Project Services, Fidelity Investments, and Structure Tone participated throughout the day.
