What made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in technology?
From a young age I admired the creative solutions applied to everyday problems. Technology is the byproduct of innovative minds that continually push established boundaries with almost limitless potential.
What inspires you to do what you do?
The exponential growth devoids monotony from day to day and site to site. I value the opportunity to be a person that plays a big role in the testing and validation of these complex critical systems.
What role does sustainability play in your life?
Sustainability is no longer the future; it is the pragmatic solution to a dire and strained reality. The comfortability of substantial waste creation and the inability to hold a symbiotic relationship with the ecosystem is no longer a viable option for human survival.
What is the most fascinating thing you have learned while working in this industry?
The most fascinating aspect is the shear scale of the systems being built. They get bigger, badder, and more dynamic in their capabilities and complexity every year.
What’s something unique about you personally?
I can always make a friend wherever I go. I love learning about the differing backgrounds of everyday characters and what drives their love for life.
What’s something unique about you professionally?
My ability to break down complex systems to their small components to aid better understanding of how their operation in harmony leads to the desired output. This allows a quicker diagnosis given the symptoms of adverse behavior and grants faster comprehension for the larger scale.
What’s your most admirable quality?
I would say my ability to be thorough in every aspect of my life. Every decision, movement, and course of action is evaluated on outcomes, adaptations, consequences, and impact.
Why is diversity, equality, and inclusion important to you?
These factors are important to me because physical biases fully bypass someone’s intellectual ability. Closing the door for collaboration based off of physical or social characteristics diminishes the ability for creating the finest product.
What aspect of the industry do you think has the most potential for growth, and, on the other hand, which aspect do you think needs the most improvement?
Power creation and supply are the areas I see as needing the most improvement matched with the most potential. The exponential growth of servers and their cooling needs are fundamentally shadowed by the current grid’s ability to provide consistent power.
When you imagine the future of the technology industry, what does it look like?
I imagine the future of technology as an adaptive powerhouse to mitigate the current state of critical equipment being out of stock. Innovative minds continually finding new avenues that may be more based in recycling of used material to meet product demand while maintaining quality.
