PureChoice, Inc., the makers of PureTrac software and the Nose Monitor, has introduced the 1UTR Nose Monitor, a new version of the environmental device and software alerting system designed to continuously monitor the temperature and relative humidity conditions in a data center or rack cabinet; logging and reporting data through the company’s easy-to-use PureTrac technology.
Temperature extremes are the most common cause of expensive hardware failure, leading to downtime that can seriously impact organizations of any size or type. PureChoice’s rackmount Nose combines this knowledge with over 18 years of energy management and environmental monitoring experience to release an inexpensive solution compatible in any building. Furthermore, this software/hardware solution comes equipped with alerting capabilities, notifying users immediately of threshold breaches that can cause equipment damage.

The rackmount model of the Nose is a 1U 19-in. unit that loads directly into a rack cabinet, connecting to the network via Ethernet. Four rack screws and built-in digital sensors allow for easy installation and set-up. Once registered with the web-based PureTrac software, users can immediately log-in to view real-time values of their environmental data. PureTrac allows for unlimited alerting at multiple thresholds for rising and/or falling temperatures. Furthermore, PureTrac offers reports that are simple to view and easily interpreted. The Web-based reporting formats give you real-time and historical analysis of conditions for all data collection points.
The 1UTR package includes1 Nose Monitor, 1 24VAC transformer, two on-board sensors , four rack screws (10-32 thread), one CAT5E Ethernet cable, EULA Agreement, Nose monitor specification sheet, return policy and user’s manual.
