CNet Launches New Data Center Fundamentals Program
The eight-hour course now offers expert Instructor narration
Melissa Chamcal, CNet’s technical manager for the U.S., Latin America, and Canada, now narrates the eight-hour distance learning program material for learners to watch at their own pace. Chambal joined CNet with over 20 years of data center and network infrastructure experience, plus five years teaching data center design and network design programs. She has taught at the Top Gun Marine base in California and performed a data center audit on Department of Defense facilities.
The Data Center Fundamentals program is designed for individuals who are either new to the data center (technicians with limited experience or exposure to data center facilities) or for those who sell products and services to this market. It introduces people to the industry and helps demystify the world of data centers. The program covers key areas, including an introduction into the data center industry, current market and trends, and different types of data centers. Key aspects relating to basic design principles and philosophies are examined as well as the essential considerations of data center management.
