AURORA, Colo — Colorado State University Global (CSU Global) announced its Master of Science in AI and ML program is open.

This program will allow students to gain a detailed understanding of software development and AI/ML principles and how they can be used to create a deeper critical analysis. Students also will learn to apply appropriate mathematical, statistical, and programming to the realm of AI and ML for a growing number of jobs in the field.

“Students will not only gain the most current technical skills surrounding AI and ML applications, but they will gain skills using the latest deep-learning libraries, such as Tensorflow, with a focus on proficiency in Python and software development,” said Charles Lively, program chair of the information technology and security programs at CSU Global. “This scope reflects the growing demand for these skills in both the public and private sectors.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for software developers and programmers will increase by more than 21% from 2018-2028, with over 284,100 new jobs, and the demand for computer and information research scientists will increase by more than 16% with the creation of more than 31,700 new jobs. Additionally, a recent World Economic Forum report predicts AI-related skills will be required in as many as 133 million new jobs by 2022 while simultaneously displacing 75 million other roles.

A specialization in this area is also offered to allow students to customize another master’s degree program or gain these future-facing skills as a non-degree-seeking student. Courses start every month. Interested students should contact Enrollment at 800-920-6723 or email enroll@csuglobal.edu to get started.
