NYI has expanded its New York presence into 60 Hudson Street following the acquisition of the NY data center assets of Sirius Telecommunications, bringing a unique combination of hybrid solutions and agile managed services to this iconic carrier hotel.
Through this expansion, NYI delivers great value to multiple audiences including: NYI’s existing customers, 60 Hudson-based carriers and service providers, as well as domestic and international customers looking to expand and grow their network reach.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer our existing customers easy access to a much larger ecosystem of carriers and providers,” says Phillip Koblence, COO, NYI. “With the addition of 60 Hudson Street to our portfolio we are empowering customers with greater choice around connectivity and managed services options, more direct access and more cost-effective options to help them achieve their business goals.”
60 Hudson is home to hundreds of telecommunication companies, service providers and data center operators. These occupants will also benefit from NYI’s presence in the building. Not only will they and their customers now have easy access to NYI’s comprehensive set of managed hybrid solutions provided from a single management platform, but, more importantly, they will also be able to achieve seamless interconnections without the cost of inter-carrier cross-connect fees.
The acquisition also greatly extends NYI’s network reach as 60 Hudson Street is considered one of the world’s most connected buildings, operating as a global hub for international communications traffic.
“International customers looking to launch in the US market are now able to take advantage of our smart PoP As a Service offering where we will provide all the connectivity, onsite support and managed services they need to run their US hosting operations,” says Mark Ward, VP of Client Services.
