Cosentry Builds Nebraska Medicine Data Center At 50% Cost Savings
Mission-critical facility also uses innovative close-coupled cooling for 30% energy savings.
Cosentry has announced that Omaha-based Nebraska Medicine has selected the company to design, construct, and manage a high-density, high-efficiency data center suite in their Omaha data center. The new private suite saved Nebraska Medicine over 50% vs. building their own data center facility, and is designed with an innovative in-row cooling solution that will draw 30% less power than a comparable environment designed in a more traditional way.
Nebraska Medicine is the clinical integration of The Nebraska Medical Center, Bellevue Medical Center and UNMC Physicians. The new healthcare entity serves more than 1,000 physicians and 678 licensed hospital beds, as well as approximately 40 specialty and primary care clinics. The organization budgeted for a $13M data center, but found Cosentry could design a more efficient facility for less than half the cost.
