Venyu has announced the opening of its new data center facility. Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the $14 million, 23,000 sq ft facility offers customers new levels of power density and additional redundancies to meet and exceed the current industry standards for cloud-based data services.
According to market reports, Louisiana is now considered one of the most attractive states in which to conduct business. This past year, Baton Rouge was ranked No.1 metro for economic growth potential in Business Facilities 9th Annual Rankings Report. Venyu is now building on its 25 years of providing technology solutions and multiple data center builds within the Gulf South region.
“In today’s highly competitive market, industry demand for crucial data center services such as colocation, cloud hosting, managed hosting and cloud backup are on the rise – as businesses seek more cost-effective IT solutions to drive efficiencies and generate revenue,” said Scott Thompson, CEO of Venyu. “This expanded footprint opens new doors for customers with heightened levels of elasticity and on-demand IT capacity – while enabling us to drive future innovation and services.”
With the highest levels of security, the data center features both biometric and ID card authentication at all entrances. Twenty-four hour surveillance covers the entire facility, which is additionally protected with fully redundant HVAC systems and advanced fire suppression. The indoor, mezzanine-level placement of HVAC equipment ensures the company can perform both maintenance and upgrades with no disruption to customer service while gaining increased energy efficiencies.
Continued Thompson, “Venyu is a company with its roots in Louisiana – and we’ve greatly benefitted from the State’s increasingly strong economic climate. We’re fully committed to the region and excited to further stimulate the economy with such an important facet of our business.”
