Shelton, CT-based data center hosting company Cervalis LLC announced that it has closed on $75 million from several commercial lending institutions to refinance existing debt as well as to build a new, 170,000-sq-ft data center and business continuity facility in Connecticut to serve New England.
The newest facility, in Norwalk, Conn. will bring the total square-footage of data center space the company has to 470,000, according to Zack Margolis, vice president of sales, marketing and business development. The Norwalk center, when completed in late summer or early fall of 2013, will be the largest of the three existing data centers in New York, New Jersey and a 40,000 square-foot one in Fairfield, Conn.
