Good fuel management should be an integral part of maintenance operations with visual and at-the-tank inspections at the heart of the regime to avoid corrosion, damage, or blockage of fuel systems and engine failure.
Kohler Power Systems announced its entire offering of mission critical diesel generators is compatible with hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), marking a significant breakthrough in the usage of alternative fuels in backup power.
Kohler’s Tier 4 Final KD Series Generator provides a key advantage, resulting in minimal maintenance demands for optimized continuity and maximized ease for users — all while meeting strict U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-controlled sustainability requirements.
The similarity in HVO and fossil diesel characteristics further smooths the shift to biofuel because the two fuels can be mixed directly in the tank without issue.
