The company launched its 'Chill and Skill Data Center Cooling eLearning Challenge'
March 20, 2024
This six-week, eLearning campaign, running from March 20 to April 30, is specifically designed to educate industry professionals about Watts’ family of solutions designed for data center hydronic cooling systems.
The YVWH is three times more energy efficient than a typical boiler and four times more efficient than traditional boiler and chiller equipment when providing heating, cooling and hot water.
While most data centers use air-cooled chillers that have free cooling coils to benefit from lower ambient conditions, air-cooled, magnetic bearing centrifugal chillers can operate at inverted conditions and provide free cooling without the need for additional coils.

The new lab can test a complete range of air conditioning equipment, accommodating air-cooled chillers up to 2.1 MW and water-cooled chillers up to 5 MW.
The chiller is up to 300% efficient at typical operating conditions, which means it can transfer three times more heat than the energy used by the equipment.
To maximize uptime, the YVAM features Quick Start technology with integral uninterruptible power supply (UPS) backup, allowing the chiller to return to full load in as little as three minutes after power is restored.
