We have a great issue in store for Spring 2015 so let’s get to it.

Our cover story, written by Leo Reiter of Nimbix, addresses the public vs. private cloud conundrum and addresses three factors to consider when making the decision.

In addition, Michael Thompson of SolarWinds writes on increasing application performance in the cloud; Siddanth Adiga of ManageEngine presents a comprehensive list of why ITSM implementations fail and what you can do to prevent it; Susan Wu from Midokura discusses the rise of DevOps mindset in the world of hypervisor management; Tim Brophy of Dimension Data discusses best practices to consider before deciding on a cloud  provider; and three articles on the different aspects of disaster recovery and cloud backup: George Bedocs of Datto discusses the best ways to ensure business continuity through data recovery; Oded Haner of HotLink discusses how hybrid IT may be the answer to data recovery in the event of a disaster; and Dave LeClair of Unitrends discusses cold storage technology as an alternative to cloud backup.

Pretty well rounded, wouldn’t you say?
