Chris Curtis is the senior vice president of development and acquisitions at Compass Datacenters, providing enterprises, service providers, and hyperscale customers with data centers solutions that reflect a dramatic change from conventional alternatives like wholesale colocation or traditional construction build-to-suits. Curtis is a successful developer of complex build-to-suit projects with more than 12 years of experience in developing greenfield build-to-suit projects for federal government tenants. As president of Curtis Investments LLC, he completed 25 projects in 22 markets for the FBI, DEA, Homeland Security, US Attorney’s Office, SSA, and VA. Prior to founding Curtis Investments, he was a tax attorney at Haynes and Boone LLP responsible for business formations, tax strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Curtis received a B.S.B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas, a J.D., cum laude, from the SMU School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.
