Tejas Desai is an engineering manager at Willdan Energy Solutions. He has 12 years of experience in energy efficiency and engineering space focused on energy audits, feasibility studies, energy modeling, facility condition assessments, and the design and installation of systems for a variety of clients. As a key member of Willdan’s data center team, Mr. Desai has been instrumental in the successful completion of 60+ data center efficiency projects for IT and facilities-side measures including IT energy efficiency, supercomputer energy efficiency, IT storage upgrades, server/desktop virtualization, variable-frequency drives for fans/pumps, air-flow management, containment, set point adjustments, economizers and many others.
Mr. Desai holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, Gujarat, India. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of New York, a LEED AP and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). Mr. Desai is also an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), as well as the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
