Christopher McLean, P.E. is the director of mission-critical solutions at M.C. Dean. He specializes in the complete life cycle of mission critical facilities.
Christopher is an electrical engineer and project management professional with 15+ years of experience, leading key initiatives within data center colocation facilities and mission critical projects. He is known as an expert in delivering innovative, reliable, and cost-saving solutions to simplify operations and increase overall productivity, while meeting evolving business needs. He and M.C. Dean are focused on design, modular construction, commissioning, and maintenance for some of the nation’s most recognizable mission-critical facilities, large-scale infrastructure, and global enterprises.
Most recently, Christopher was director of mission critical projects for Vanderweil Engineers, where he developed technical proposals and managed key client relationships and projects, including concurrently managing multiple construction projects. He also prepared and presented key deliverable milestones to clients, managed more than $100 million projects.
Before he joined Vanderweil, Christopher was the director of data center design and construction with The Markley Group, an 800,000 square foot carrier hotel and colocation facility, where he managed $30 million in annual operating costs and construction projects. Internally, he developed and documented standards for mission critical environment work processes that included methods of procedures, the sequence of operations and statements of work, increasing efficiency by 100 percent within the organization.
He has presented nationally at 7x24, AFCOM, DICE, and other technical conferences, and is a regular contributor to industry publications.
