Michael Schewel is CEO of Recast Energy, a biomass energy provider to commercial customers in the U.Sc and abroad. He previously served as chair of the Board of Multitrade Biomass Holdings, a biomass energy development company. He is also a partner in the corporate and energy practice at McGuireWoods LLP, an international law firm. Schewel served as Secretary of Commerce and Trade of the Commonwealth of Virginia from 2002-2006 where, among other things, he was responsible for the Departments of Forestry and of Mines, Mineral and Energy. He is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Virginia Law School.
