Uptime Institute’s annual Global Data Center Survey provides a comprehensive profile of the current digital critical infrastructure landscape and a sense of its future trajectory.
To deal with the ever-increasing torrent, data centers are looking for new ways to address four key objectives: maximizing uptime, optimizing energy usage, detecting potential risks, and defending against cyberattacks.
Uptime Institute’s Management and Operations (M&O) Stamp of Approval process is designed to incorporate the learnings of more than 25 years of site visits at critical facilities around the word to assist data center owners and operators to introduce consistency, transparency, and industry best practices into their own data center management and operations processes.
As the data center build-out continues across the globe, many more people will be needed to design, build, and operate this critical infrastructure. The demand will exacerbate staffing shortages—but by how much?
