AUBURN, Ala — Construction is complete on AUBix’s leading-edge data center in Auburn, Alabama, increasing the technology infrastructure in this part of the state. Brasfield & Gorrie was the project’s general contractor.

“Brasfield & Gorrie completed the construction of the AUBix data center on time and in budget, delivering the high-quality facility required to house a data center able to withstand Category 4 winds,” said AUBix CEO and Co-Founder Andrew Albrecht. “From providing input on the initial design through the final finishing details, the Brasfield & Gorrie team was helpful, professional and a true pleasure to work with.”

The one-story, 40,000 square-foot greenfield data center is located on a 6-acre site. The facility includes two 10,000 square-foot data halls, which will support up to 2 MW of IT load each. The building’s structure and veneer are precast concrete. The general contractor has completed more than $2.8 billion of mission critical projects, accounting for 8 million square feet of work.

“Brasfield & Gorrie is dedicated to building strong communities everywhere we work," said Dustin Smith, vice president and division manager of Brasfield & Gorrie. "AUBix and Advocate Management Partners are strengthening Auburn and its surrounding areas with this investment in technology, and we are honored to partner on this important project."
