A new line of electrically operated bypass-isolation transfer switches is available from Kohler. Bypass and isolation status features include high visibility alarm and operating mode indicators, as well as a simple one-line diagram indicating real-time switch and bypass status to minimize human errors.  Single-touch bypass controls ensure smooth and easy transfer of loads, LED lights indicate permitted and restricted operations, and switches are available with the Decision-Maker MPAC 1500 controller. The switches have single-button bypass operation; manual engine start controls; and a handle to manually connect and isolate them for inspection, testing, or service. In addition, they provide emergency transfer capability if the primary switch mechanism is removed or disabled. These switches are customized for nearly every application, from 30 to 4,000 amps, and are factory-tested to ensure transfer of power from the utility to the generator and back again. They are available in standard, bypass-isolation, and service-entrance configurations with open, programmed, and closed-transition operating modes. They are UL listed and have CSA and IBC certifications available.
