The IOLAN SCR1618 is a 32-port console server that comes with two SFP slots supporting 1- and 2.5-Gbps fiber or 10/100/1000-Mbps copper network connections. Designed with data center resiliency in mind, the console server connects to RS232 or Ethernet RJ45 console management ports on equipment, such as Cisco, Juniper, HP, routers, switches, firewalls, servers, PBXs, network storage equipment, and security appliances. Automatic failover to multiple networks ensures the data center is always running while simultaneously giving administrators access to critical devices to monitor, manage, troubleshoot, or reboot as needed. A built-in firewall and two-factor authentication ensure access to equipment and data are limited to authorized users. And, remote authentication management, using RADIUS, TACACS+, or LDAP, enables integration with enterprise-grade systems to control access to devices in the field. To simplify management and respond swiftly to issues, network administrators also have the ability to access all console ports via a single portal view. Perle's cloud-based centralized management solution puts the network and IT infrastructure into a single application and provides secure reliable access and visibility during normal operations and critical network failures.
