After more than 10 years of research and development efforts to offer alternative solutions to sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) for medium-voltage, gas-insulated switchgear, ABB introduced the PrimeGear™ ZX0. It is available with SF6, Dry Air, or AirPlus — an eco-efficient gas mixture with a global warming potential of less than 1. It is also available with an optional eco-ready panel, enabling customers to choose SF6 insulation and easily switch to AirPlus or Dry Air in the future. A cloud-based solution provides insights on the switchgear’s health. Additionally current and voltage sensors along with remote monitoring and diagnostics features make installation and commissioning quick and easy.
