Eaton is honoring the tireless work of IT professionals and furthering STEM education with the launch of a new children’s book: “What does an IT pro do?”

The book tells the story of Honey, a young honey badger asked to explain to her class what her parents, who are IT professionals, do. After struggling to come up with a simple explanation and listening to her friends describe their parents’ jobs as first responders, doctors, and construction workers, Honey realizes that her parents are all these things and more.

Conceived by Eaton Senior Marketing Communications Manager Mike DeCamp with input from IT professionals, “What does an IT pro do” was written to stimulate children’s interest in STEM fields and is filled with hidden pop culture and IT references for savvy parents to spot. The book celebrates the underappreciated contributions IT professionals make to businesses and society every day.
