Carrier's AquaEdge 19DV Water-Cooled Chiller features low-speed, direct drive, back-to-back EquiDrive™ compressor technology. This allows for continued operation under demanding conditions as well as load cancellation. The result is bearing technology that lasts the life of the chiller. The 19DV uses R-1233zd(E), which has a global warming potential of about 1, zero ozone depletion, and an A1 safety rating; exceeds ASHRAE’s 2016 efficiency guidelines by more than 40%; has low sound; and is capable of series counterflow configurations. Each unit comes equipped with Carrier’s SmartView™ control panel and SMART Service, a cloud-based analytics platform that provides a strategic approach to preventive maintenance. Chillers can flex to 120°F condenser water if heat rejection systems are compromised. This capability can also support dry coolers. For mission critical sites collocated with other spaces, the waste heat from the chilled water plant can be used for heating in the other spaces.
