The Grundfos Hydro MPC HVAC is an integrated packaged pumping system that offers an alternative to traditional site-built, end-suction pumps for centralized heating and cooling systems while helping buildings optimize operation and minimize delta T issues. The packaged pumping system includes all components — pumps, motors, valves, sensors, VFDs, controls, and more — and is pre-piped, prewired, and pretested, increasing the speed of building completion by executing package construction in parallel with other job site tasks. The units comes with built-in sensor technology, but additional sensors can be added for optimized zone control. The CU 352 advanced controls feature efficiency-based sequencing that exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 energy guidelines and can control up to six zones. If there is a need for additional zone control, the Grundfos Control HVAC controller can be used for control of up to 26 zones and chiller bypass control. The proportional pressure controls are based on actual performance data including flow, allowing the system to respond more accurately to building demand and maintain the integrity of the system design and avoid delta T issues. Grundfos has already started to expand the range of the Hydro MPC line to include more pump options to giving the industry more flexibility.
