Scammers are taking advantage of the coronavirus crisis

They say you should never let a good crisis go to waste; however it seems unlikely that scamming people was what Winston Churchill had in mind when he uttered those words so many years ago. But that was then, and this is now. Cyberattacks have been on the rise for quite a while, but since the coronavirus starting making its way across the global, cybercriminals have stepped up their games. Below are some research findings that highlight the importance of data protection and cybersecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amy Al-Katib, CDCDP, is editor-in-chief of Mission Critical and Engineered Systems magazines.
