The ASCO Model 459 Exterior Circuit Surge Protection Hub is a surge-protected tap box designed to simplify compliance with Florida Building Code (FBC) articles 449.3.15.6 and 450.3.19.5 while adopting the National Electric Code (NEC) 314.28 wiring practices to ensure secure and long-lasting tap connections. Both FBC articles require all exterior electrical circuits to be surge protected with a dedicated SPD. Each hub comes configured to surge protect three or six 1- or 2-pole circuits with a max operating current of 35 A. They also come standard with line-to-ground and line-to-neutral protection.
