The ASCO PowerQuest Critical Power Management System (CPMS) has always provided communications for critical equipment monitoring networks. But now, the addition of the ASCO 5160 Series PowerQuest Connectivity Units eases deployment of redundant communication pathways and increases flexibility for network designers. At the heart of every CPMS is a network that transmits data using Ethernet. These units convert data from power devices to Ethernet and connect power devices to the CPMS platform. They simplify CPMS implementation by converting serial data and discreet inputs to ModBus TCP/IP, communicating with power devices from major manufacturers without complex system integration, and sending power equipment information to the CPMS platform over fiber or copper.
