TINLEY PARK, Ill. — Panduit was recognized with three Cabling Innovators Awards in the 2019 competition. Cabling Installation & Maintenance bestows the Innovators Awards annually to the best products and projects in the industry.
Panduit received three awards, including a Platinum honor for PoE Extenders, a new offering from the company that extends power over Ethernet and data beyond the standard 100-meter channel. This allows facilities to connect and power devices — like security cameras or control gates in parking lots, or security, access control, and lighting within a building entrance — that may be further than 100 meters from the nearest telecommunications room.
“It is always an honor to be recognized for innovation,” said Mike McGrath, director of product management and engineering for Panduit’s Enterprise business. “We take innovation seriously around here. We are always looking for new ways to solve customer problems. PoE Extenders are a perfect example, as we’ve found a way to easily connect common devices that are located beyond the channel, with a solution that is simple and inexpensive to install.”
Panduit also received two Gold awards in the case study classification. Atlona, a Panduit company, was recognized for its role in an AV over IP installation at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. And, in conjunction with Igor, Panduit was recognized for a PoE lighting installation at a new Codisa data center in Costa Rica.
“On behalf of the Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards, I would like to congratulate Panduit on their honoree status,” said Patrick McLaughlin, chief editor, Cabling Installation & Maintenance. “This competitive, unbiased program celebrates the most original and innovative products in the industry.”
