The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) appointed Ethereum Foundation’s Aya Miyaguchi to the board.

“It is with great excitement that the EEA welcomes Aya Miyaguchi as the newest member of the Alliance's Board,” said EEA Executive Director Ron Resnick. “Aya, who serves as the Ethereum Foundation’s executive director, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the EEA and will be a tremendous asset as we continue to build out our road map. As a member of the EEA board of directors, Aya will take part in guiding the organization's vision, and in other initiatives as part of her participation with the EEA.

“This is an exciting time,” Miyaguchi said. “As blockchain adoption accelerates, it’s important that the Ethereum Foundation works to connect businesses with the latest research and development coming from our worldwide community and that we convey our challenges and experiences while better understanding those impacting industries. I hope that this common understanding and cooperation will bring Ethereum's technology more broadly and effectively to the world.”

The EEA Mainnet Initiative

The EEA has also today unveiled the Mainnet Initiative, a technical working group that will provide a venue for interactions and collaboration between the EEA’s enterprise and startup members and those working on the mainnet’s technology and interoperability advances. This working group will strive to ensure that Ethereum, like the internet, will work for all.

By examining how to harmonize the way industries and ecosystems work on the blockchain, the initiative will seek to understand how public network components match the commercial market requirements needed to allow the world to connect to Ethereum.
