WorldStream Significantly Expands The Size of Its R&D Department
The IaaS provider has added seven employees.
WorldStream has expanded its Research & Development department from three to 10 employees in just a few month’s time. Increasing the size of this R&D team is intended to help further WorldStream’s innovation efforts with regard to the company’s DDoS traffic scrubbing center called WorldStream DDoS Shield, its website with dedicated server offerings, and its global network backbone with 10Tbps of bandwidth available.
WorldStream’s existing R&D team has fully custom-developed the company’s DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) scrubbing center, WorldStream DDoS Shield. This DDoS protection system is in-house developed to meet varying web security requirements for different types of customers including enterprises, SMBs, cloud service providers, managed hosting providers, system integrators and more. As the WorldStream global network backbone has grown fivefold between August 2017 and March 2019 up to a bandwidth capacity of 10Tbps, WorldStream’s DDoS protection capabilities need to grow along with this extensive bandwidth volume growth. WorldStream has planned to let its significantly expanded R&D team develop and deploy advanced cluster-based DDoS mitigation techniques for example, to be launched soon.
