CyrusOne has announced that it was chosen by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to extend HPE GreenLake consumption-based IT solutions at CyrusOne data center locations across the globe. The partnership will enable easy and fast access to public cloud providers through the CyrusOne interconnection platform in support of hybrid IT. It extends business agility, speed, and flexibility down to the data center and addresses the needs of client security, regulatory and data privacy concerns for customers in North America, EMEA and globally.

Driven by the strategic shift of enterprises looking to eliminate their own data center footprint and move to flexible consumption of data center resources in a colocation model, enterprises will now have the choice to consume HPE GreenLake in their own data center or in any of CyrusOne’s more than 45 data centers around the globe. Backed by CyrusOne’s experience in delivering world class data center services to the Fortune 1000 and the world’s largest hyperscale public cloud companies, enterprises will be able to reduce the complexity of their IT management.

“Our enterprise customers are all evaluating ways to modernize their IT infrastructure. Customers want the benefits of public cloud agility with the security and performance of on-premise (colocation),” said John Gould, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, CyrusOne. “We are thrilled to partner with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to help our clients achieve these goals while still providing them interconnection flexibility to the public cloud providers. Deploying HPE GreenLake at our data centers allows our clients the flexibility, peace of mind, and scalability to help enable their digital transformation.”

“HPE’s continued innovation in our platforms and delivery models is creating opportunities for our customers to explore their strategies for the data center,” said Scott Ramsay, global vice president, HPE GreenLake. “This partnership extends our consumption-based IT model to modern interconnected data center facilities, enabling cloud-like agility and flexibility which will further accelerate business outcomes for our joint customers.”
