7x24 Exchange held its 2019 Spring Conference June 2-5, 2019 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, FL. The theme was “Processing At The Edge.” The organization is celebrating its 30^th anniversary this year; 7x24 Exchange was founded as the Uninterruptible Uptime Users Group in November of 1989. 

The conference featured keynotes from Kris “Tanto” Paronto, who presented the conference keynote, “Bottom Up Leadership and How It Saved Lives in Benghazi;” Chris Crosby, CEO, Compass Datacenters, presented the Tuesday keynote titled, “Data Centers: From Tech to Utility;” and Jack Pouchet, vice president, sales, Natron Energy, who spoke on “New Power Architectures for the Edge,” on Wednesday, June 5. In addition, a tribute was paid to David Schirmacher, president of 7x24 Exchange International, who passed away in January.

In addition to the keynotes, educational presentations were held throughout the conference such as Facebook presenting a case study on its data centers, a panel discussion on “Moving Toward Intelligent Self-Sending, Self-Regulating Data Centers,” “Hyperscale Data Centers in the Age of Edge Computing,” a WiMCO® panel discussion titled, “Secrets to Building High Performing Teams in Mission Critical Environments,” and concurrent breakout sessions covering infrastructure, power, and edge computing.

The conference also featured tabletop exhibits from participating companies, an End-User Exchange Forum, and a Sunday tutorial and Data Center 101 Student session, “designed to educate students about the infrastructure, technology, and operations of a data center and illustrate future career opportunities in the mission critical industry.”

The 7x24 Exchange Conferences are a prime networking opportunity and the 2019 Spring Conference was no different. On Sunday night, a welcome reception was held for attendees and their families and on Tuesday, a sponsored event titled, “An Evening Under The Big Top,” was held and featured circus performers, carnival games, and entertainment.

The 2019 Fall conference will be held October 27-30, 2019 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix. The theme is “The New Horizon.” For more information, visit the 7x24 Exchange website.
