Bel Power Solutions, a Bel group company, has announced their participation at the upcoming Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit on March 14-15th at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA at Booth B23.

The Open Compute Project Foundation (OCP) is a 501(c)(6) organization which was initiated by Facebook in 2011 with a mission to apply the benefits of open source and open collaboration to hardware and rapidly increase the pace of innovation in, near and around the data center’s networking equipment, general purpose and GPU servers, storage devices and appliances, and scalable rack designs. OCP’s collaboration model is being applied beyond the data center, helping to advance the telecom industry and EDGE infrastructure. The annual Global Summit brings together more than 3,400 key decision makers, executives, engineers, developers and suppliers. Together, they help grow, drive and support the open hardware ecosystem in, near and around the data center and beyond.

Presenting during the Engineering Workshop for Rack & Power will be Bel Power’s engineering director, Nicola Cinagrossi, in partnership with Samuel Brumhard, product manager at Rittal, and Menno Kortekaas, CTO at Circle B, on Friday, March 15th 3:00 PM – 3:25 PM in Venue 210 BF. The topic will be Finite Element Modeling of the 12V Power Distribution in the Open Rack Standard 2.0, which will cover analysis of losses and temperature rise.

Bel Power Solutions engineering experts will be also be on-hand throughout the conference in Booth B23 to answer questions about our latest data center portfolio, which has been further expanded to include a variety of PSUs, PDUs, power shelves, and other products to address AC and DC, 12 Volt and 48 Volt power conversion needs from the PDU to the CPU.
