For the fifth consecutive year, Siemens has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant in its 2018 Magic Quadrant for Meter Data Management Products for its EnergyIP Meter Data Management (MDM) product.*
In the Magic Quadrant, Gartner evaluates vendors based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. In this 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant, Siemens placed highest for its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision in the Leaders quadrant.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized by Gartner for the fifth year in a row in this market report,” said Mike Carlson, president of Siemens Digital Grid, North America. “With almost 80 million smart meters served by EnergyIP throughout the world, Siemens continues to outpace the competition in terms of customer satisfaction with product functionality and configurability.”
Siemens’ highly scalable EnergyIP MDM software is embedded in a single, unique IoT architecture, with a comprehensive set of powerful applications to fully support processes and complex use cases in the energy industry. It can process data in near real time from millions of distributed grid assets and smart devices, powering new approaches for meter data management, grid optimization and analytics, distributed energy management, energy market participation, and asset management. Utilities can derive value beyond meter-to-cash by deploying the software either on site as a cloud-based solution or as a full “MDM as a service.”
