Databank Announces The Completion Of On-Site 66MW Substation At Granite Point Salt Lake Campus
New capacity ensures high reliability and redundancy to support growth in region.
DataBank has announced the completion of its 66-megawatt privately-owned substation at the Granite Point Campus in Bluffdale, UT. The new capacity significantly increases the power capabilities, reliability and redundancy of the data center campus. The campus currently consists of two high performance data centers, SLC2 and SLC3. DataBank intends to develop four additional data centers on the 24-acre campus, with its third data center, SLC4, to be completed later this year.
“Our new Granite Point substation sets the foundation for continued growth of our Salt Lake campus,” states Kevin Ooley, president and CFO of DataBank. “The N+1 design provides significant additional capacity and redundancy to support our customers’ expansion.”
