Ed Kenty, chairman and CEO of Park Place Technologies, has announced that effective Jan. 1, 2019, he will transition his CEO responsibilities to current president and chief operating officer, Chris Adams. This transition is part of a predetermined succession plan that has been in place for several years. Kenty will remain as Chairman of the Board.
Since 1991, Park Place Technologies has provided an alternative to post-warranty storage, server and networking hardware maintenance for IT data centers. As the world's largest post-warranty data center maintenance firm, Park Place supports 15,200 organizations in 141 countries. Based in Cleveland, Park Place employs 1,200+ people across the globe.
Kenty joined Park Place in 2004 and leaves a legacy filled with personal connections to employees, customers, and business partners. His achievements have been globally recognized through multiple stages of his career, including several successive years as an E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.

Adams has worked at Park Place Technologies for 13 years; initially serving as CFO. As President and COO, he worked side-by-side with other leaders throughout the company, spearheading growth strategies, managing day-to-day operations and overseeing European and Asia-Pacific sales and service operations. Some of Chris’ key accomplishments include a global expansion and reorganization of the Park Place delivery model, driving an industry consolidation strategy through acquisitions, expanding PPT’s competitive advantage in hardware and support, and launching ParkView™, an industry game-changing service which provides customers across the globe with remote monitoring and predictive maintenance.
