RF Code has announced that it has appointed veteran technologist Tom Bishop as vice president of data center services. In his new role, Bishop will be responsible for driving RF Code’s next generation product rollouts, and the commercial availability of RF Code’s Edge Data Center solution.
Bishop brings a wide breadth of software and hardware expertise and more than thirty years of experience in senior IT and product development roles to his position at RF Code. Prior to RF Code, Bishop was the CTO for Bypass Mobile, a PoS solutions vendor. Bishop also previously served as the CTO of Honest Dollar, a digital retirement savings platform that was acquired by Goldman Sachs.
“We’re delighted to welcome someone with Tom’s extensive technical background to the team,” said Dale Quayle, CEO of RF Code. “I’m confident that Tom will drive the next generation of product development, specifically the rollout of RF Code’s new Edge Manager application in December 2018.”
Earlier in his career, Bishop held the position of CTO and vice president of engineering for StoredIQ, where he seamlessly transformed a hardware-based eDiscovery solution into a software-based, distributed information management solution and deployed the first release into a hybrid production environment within fifteen months, leading to the company being acquired by IBM four months later.
Bishop received his BS in computer science and mathematics and his MS in computer science and electrical engineering from Cornell University.
“RF Code has developed a reputation as a first-tier provider to data centers across the world,” said Bishop. “I look forward to taking RF Code’s product development to the next level and breaking into new areas such as edge computing, while continuing to build on the success that that RF Code has enjoyed over the last twenty years.”
