Compass Datacenters has named Andrew Salcido as vice president of operations. In this role, Salcido will lead Compass' facility operations and execute on Compass's vision to provide the most efficient staffing models and systems to support the current transition of data centers from technology to utility-scale infrastructure.

Salcido brings more than 30 years of data center engineering and operations experience to his role at Compass Datacenters. Prior to Compass, he was vice president of operations at T5 Data Centers, a critical data center facilities company. Before T5, he was the director of operations for Vantage Data Centers and director of operations at Digital Realty Trust. Salcido brings extensive experience in procedural development, facilities management, project management, and organizational leadership.

"Compass Datacenters is growing at a very rapid pace because of the way our dedicated data centers and unmatched delivery times meet the technical and business needs of IT services and cloud providers, enterprises, and edge computing deployments. You would be hard pressed to find someone in our industry who is more holistically experienced with a clear understanding of how to leverage the significant investment that Compass has made over the years in technology and systems to allow for truly scalable operations staffing and training," said Jared Day, president of Compass Datacenters. "Andy also meshes seamlessly into the culture of Compass, and I'm thrilled to have him as a part of our team."

"Compass' future is incredibly bright because of its outstanding team and the way its facilities fill a growing need in the data center market that is not well served by other companies' solutions and services," said Salcido. "I've enjoyed working alongside members of the Compass team in the past, so I knew this would be a great fit for me. Compass' unique methodology, strong culture and growth made this an excellent opportunity."
