Webair has announced that it has been awarded an Information Technology Umbrella Manufacturer Based contract by the New York State Office of General Services (NYS OGS). This contract certifies that Webair is a vetted and state-approved IT vendor and simplifies services procurement for New York State authorized users by significantly reducing the length of the bidding processes.

To earn this contract, Webair completed a year-long company audit verifying its ability to provide high-quality services compliant with state regulations. As a result, New York State authorized users can take advantage of this existing contract to expedite the procurement process of verified services. Webair channel partners now also have the opportunity to resell Webair services to NYS authorized users leveraging the OGS umbrella contract. For partners with customers and prospects that include New York State, Local and Education (SLED) government agencies, the availability of this new contract fast-tracks service delivery and enhances partners’ ability to provide fast and cost-effective solutions from Webair’s vast portfolio of infrastructure and service offerings.

“As a privately-owned, New York-based organization, Webair is continually seeking new opportunities to enhance our community’s IT landscape with fully-managed infrastructure services delivered privately, ensuring the lowest possible latency and sovereignty for all state-funded organizations,” explains Michael Christopher Orza, CEO, Webair. “Through this OGS contract, we are providing these government agencies and organizations with the ability to support digital transformation via customized and flexible hybrid cloud configurations, including the ability to house data locally and securely, untethered from the public internet, and eliminating the need to store sensitive information hundreds, or even thousands of miles away. We are excited to offer state-funded organizations an even simpler way to procure a wide range of services and look forward to working hand-in-hand with our channel partners to ensure customer satisfaction.”

Webair currently serves multiple state-funded organizations, including hospitals, universities and cultural centers. Prior to being awarded this Umbrella Manufacturer contract, Webair received multiple tax rebates and other incentives from the New York government to help ensure low energy costs for customers. Most notably, in 2017, Webair announced its acceptance into the New York Empire State Development (ESD) program as well as the receipt of an allocated 1 MW of low-cost hydropower from New York Power Authority’s (NYPA’s) ReCharge NY program.

Webair’s full portfolio of services will be available via OGS contract, including public, private and hybrid cloud hosting and managed services, colocation, Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), Offsite Backus-as-a-Service (BaaS), and full-stack management of critical applications. Offering direct access to its own private clouds as well as all large public clouds including AWS and Azure, Webair provides comprehensive, fully-managed hybrid cloud orchestration. This allows customers to mix and match the optimal cloud platforms on a per workload basis based on such factors as security, performance, latency and cost, while providing end-to-end service assurance to end-users. In addition to its New York data center on Long Island, Webair maintains facilities in Los Angeles, Montréal, Amsterdam, and the Asia-Pacific.
