Flexenclosure is further expanding its footprint in Latin America with two new orders for eCentre data centres in Nicaragua and Honduras. This follows recent projects in Paraguay, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Chile.

The first to be built will be in Nicaragua’s capital, Managua. Construction has commenced at Flexenclosure’s manufacturing plant in Sweden and final deployment in Nicaragua is expected to be completed early in the third quarter of this year — an extremely fast deployment. This will be followed by the new data centre in the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa, which is due to be fully commissioned by the end of the first quarter of 2019.

The prefabricated data centres will be Uptime Institute Tier III certified — the first of their kind in both countries — and they will have the ability to beeasily and quickly expanded whenever necessary. And with both locations known for earthquake risk, the eCentres have been custom designed and reinforced to withstand seismic disturbance.

“In the last two years, we have gone from having no presence at all in Latin America to building data centres in seven countries across the continent,” said David King, CEO, Flexenclosure. “We are fully committed to the region and our eCentre facilities have proven to be the ideal solution for the LATAM market.”

eCentre is a state-of-the art, custom-designed, prefabricated and pre-integrated data centre building that is fast to deploy, energy efficient and fully future proofed. With its flexible and easily expandable white space, eCentre enables highly capital efficient data centre deployments and has been certified up to Tier IV level.
