Johnson Controls will unveil a new lineup of fire detection and suppression products at the 2018 NFPA Expo, June 11-13 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center (booth 1507) in Las Vegas, including the ANSUL® Acoustic Nozzle, which, in combination with the INERGEN® clean-agent fire suppression system, is designed for use in server rooms and data centers where sound levels may affect sensitive hard disk drives. The ANSUL® Acoustic Nozzle recently received UL Verification for sound performance.

The ANSUL® Acoustic Nozzle, designed for inert gas fire suppression systems, decreases the acoustic footprint during a discharge. The ANSUL Acoustic Nozzle directs agent into the hazard area and reduces the sound level compared with standard nozzles. Flow calculations are used to specify the nozzle orifice size for the correct quantity and distribution of agent. Application The ANSUL Acoustic Nozzle, in combination with the INERGEN® 150/200 bar and iFLOW 300 bar Fire Suppression Systems, is particularly useful for suppressing fires in hazards where sound levels may affect sensitive electronic equipment.
