Bedrock Data Names Mark Jaffe To Board Of Directors
Jaffe will contribute to Bedrock Data's mission of bringing data integration, data management, and machine learning to mid-market.
Bedrock Data™ has announced the appointment of Mark Jaffe to the Bedrock Data Board of Directors (BOD). Jaffe co-founded and was chief executive officer (CEO) of Prelert, a leading provider of behavioral analytics for IT security, IT operations and business operations teams. Prelert was acquired by Elastic in 2016.
"Today's operations, sales and marketing leaders spend far too much time and resources tying together disconnected cloud platforms and on-premises applications. Purpose-built for mid-sized companies, Bedrock Data gives our customers consistent and coordinated views across their data — improving sales and marketing velocity, internal alignment, and the entire customer experience," said Thor Johnson, chief executive officer (CEO), Bedrock Data. "Mark brings to Bedrock Data his unique experience and expertise in data integration, data management and machine learning, so our customers can gain efficiencies and insights that were previously out of reach."
Jaffe has driven success in numerous software companies over 25 years in executive leadership, sales leadership and marketing. He grew Prelert to become the industry leading machine learning anomaly detection analytics company prior to its acquisition.
"When I initially met the Bedrock Data team, I immediately saw the value that Bedrock Data could have brought to my previous companies, addressing issues my teams have had in getting access to data and insight across our SaaS solutions," said Jaffe. "I became excited about the future for Bedrock Data as it continues to innovate and lead the market, particularly as they extend their offerings with machine learning capabilities. I'm eager to apply my machine learning background to Bedrock Data's expertise around marketing, sales and support data to help Bedrock Data's customers leverage their data to generate growth and create more successful customers."
Jaffe joins Johnson and Graham Brooks, Partner, .406 Ventures, on the Bedrock Data Board.
"SaaS solutions are easy to buy, but difficult to integrate. Bedrock Data solves this problem, connecting customers with the data from all of their applications," said Brooks. "The value at every stage of the customer lifecycle increases as Bedrock Data applies machine learning to company information. I'm excited to work with Mark. His experience, guidance and expertise will be invaluable as we apply machine learning over the unique data connection engine that Bedrock Data has deployed."
