Sipree, Inc. has announced that its SaaS platform supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud (US) to service its growing list of public sector customers.

AWS GovCloud (US) is an isolated AWS region designed to host sensitive data and regulated workloads in the cloud, and meet strict U.S. government compliance requirements. Sipree’s cloud platform acts as a secure gateway to the leading alternative payment networks [like PayPal, Venmo, Google Wallet, etc], so government entities can decrease costs and increase speed and satisfaction by using popular payment apps for G2C and G2B disbursements. The Sipree Platform can be deployed on AWS US East/West or AWS GovCloud (US) Regions and is operational today in government deployments.

“Our goal is to enable safe innovation for government agencies, so they can take advantage of technological advances that increase operational efficiencies while protecting the critical nature of their missions, data, and applications,” said Kevin Henkener, VP of engineering at Sipree. “AWS GovCloud (US) helps us achieve compliance in the cloud for the most secure entities in the world.”

AWS was one of the first cloud service providers (CSP) to meet the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High baseline — a standardized set of security requirements for cloud services that includes over 400 security controls. This gives U.S. government agencies the ability to leverage the AWS Cloud for highly sensitive workloads, including Personal Identifiable Information (PII), sensitive patient records, financial data, law enforcement data, and other Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Sipree built its platform to integrate seamlessly with AWS GovCloud (US) and to leverage the security, scalability, and stability of a leading cloud service for large-scale government payment initiatives.
