TierPoint Debuts As A Challenger in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant For DRaaS
The evaluation was based on the company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.
Following its acquisition of Hosted Solutions in December 2015 and Cosentry in March 2016, TierPoint LLC has been recognized in Gartner’s June 2016 “Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service” (DRaaS) report, widely known for evaluating technology and service provider competency.
“We knew that a fully managed disaster recovery program would be a key pillar in our growth strategy and customer solutions portfolio,” said Shea Long, senior vice president of products, TierPoint. “Our Software Defined DRaaS program, built from market-leading technologies, leverages unique platforms, capabilities and experience, positioning us with a truly differentiated capability around hybrid IT and DRaaS,” Long said, adding, “With over 250 DRaaS providers in the market, it’s truly an honor to be recognized in the Gartner report. We feel this is an important validation of the strategic acquisitions and significant investments we’ve made in our products and services for the benefit of our clients.”
Gartner estimates the DRaaS market will nearly triple in the next three years to a revenue point of $3.4 billion by 2019, noting: “From 2016 through 2020, the use of either DRaaS or IaaS to support the failover of production applications will grow by more than 200%.”
