IndependenceIT has announced availability of a new report on IndependenceIT Cloud Workspace® Suite version 4.2. The complete 451 Research Impact Report titled, “IndependenceIT deepens manageability, customization with Cloud Workspace Suite 4.2,” can be accessed on the IndependenceIT website.
IndependenceIT Cloud Workspace Suite software is an integrated workspace automation platform that manages workspaces, applications, and desktops as a service to users anywhere, anytime and on any device. The company’s software is deployed globally by IT service providers, independent software vendors, and IT administrators to enable workspace-as-a-service solutions. Cloud Workspace Suite allows its customers to quickly and easily provision, manage and monitor complete workspaces in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
According to the report,1 “Cloud Workspace Suite Version 4.2 focuses on optimizing and enhancing existing features and functionality of aforementioned components. One of the key enhancements is to extend management of cloud resources at the VM level, enabling customers (service provider partners) to set consumption, scaling and automation attributes based on individual user profiles in a multi-tenant, shared infrastructure. Based on individual storage requirements, customers can also create different classes of services, which are deemed valuable for larger MSPs and enterprises as use cases begin to move further upstream. Deploying public cloud services, Microsoft Azure and Google Compute Engine, service provider customers are now able to provide hourly pricing and service scheduling. Instead of having the cloud to run 24/7, customers can flexibly reduce the runtime based on individual end user requirements.
“As its name suggests, IndependenceIT has been able to maintain an independent and neutral position when it comes to facilitating workflow orchestration across multiple platforms and cloud environments. Its latest software updates focus on deepening the manageability and usability of its workspace management platform, which is important to improve the stickiness of customers,” said Agatha Poon, research manager, global cloud computing, 451 Research. “The growing use of cloud as a technology and a service delivery model will give workspace as a service (WaaS) a new lease on life and open up a world of possibilities for service providers to bring new services, tools, and custom applications to the market.”2
Categorized as workspace-as-a-service (WaaS) enablement software, Cloud Workspace Suite is commonly ranked as one of the leading (WaaS) platforms.3 WaaS is the cloud hosted delivery of virtual client computing technologies, mainly focused on delivering application workloads through the cloud. According to analysts , the hosted WaaS market will grow to $1.7 billion in 2018, representing a five-year CAGR of 42.5%.
“Being an agnostic player works to the company’s advantage in filling service gaps while broadening its addressable market. Cloud Workspace Suite is architected in a way that supports multiple stakeholders involved in automated workspace provisioning and management,” noted the report.4 “Due to the managed hosting and IT heritage of its management team, it comes as no surprise that IndependenceIT has had great success in working with hosting providers large and small.”
“The advantages of Cloud Workspace Suite are clear as the software gains acceptance by IT Admins and service providers interested in accelerating their WaaS deployments,” said Seth Bostock, CEO, IndependenceIT. “451 Research’s validation adds to the body of evidence produced by industry experts that cover this technology and the value it delivers to customers.”
