Rootstock Software®  has announced that Rootstock Nordic AB will be launched by six ERP veterans with a deep knowledge base from selling and implementing legacy client server applications like Baan, IMI Order, JDEdwards, Oracle, and Jeeves. Founder Per Norling established and grew the Baan customer base with 100% yearly growth for five consecutive years in the '90's. Recognizing the need for new agile solutions in the Nordic market, Rootstock Nordic AB will sell, implement and support Rootstock customers in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. The initial target will be midsized manufacturing and distribution companies.

"We see a similar potential for growth and shift to more modern software that enables companies to react and adapt to new market conditions," reports Norling. "I am delighted to have been introduced to this opportunity by Jan Baan. We will cooperate and interact with his Vanenburg Software in the European market to reach the market share that Rootstock Software deserves."

"By leveraging the cloud, the salesforce.com ecosystem and a manufacturing-centric development team, Rootstock's Manufacturing Cloud ERP provides real-time management of manufacturing, distribution and supply chain operations from front to back, anytime and anywhere with a single system," adds Norling. "With the cloud, ERP deploys faster and is easier to use. Access is from any device attached to the Internet at any time. Thus, customers achieve cost reductions in both IT staff and hardware infrastructure."

With Manufacturing Cloud ERP, an organization can reduce its IT operational costs by outsourcing hardware and software maintenance and support to the cloud provider. In addition, with the ERP system hosted centrally, updates can be released without the need for the users themselves to install new software. As the leading cloud platform, Salesforce provides a stable and growing cloud ecosystem for manufacturers looking for cloud-based ERP solutions. With its ERP written on Salesforce, Rootstock customers leverage their investment in their Salesforce platform by integrating it seamlessly with other Salesforce cloud applications.

"Today, Cloud ERP buyers need to be cautious," says Norling. "Not all ERP systems are developed from a manufacturing core, especially those residing in the Cloud. Some vendors begin with accounting software while others start out in maintenance or human resources. The problem for the manufacturer is that many imply that they will work in manufacturing. They won't. But, a Manufacturing Cloud ERP, such as Rootstock, will."
