Infinitely Virtual has announced that it has earned the rating of "Enterprise-Ready™" in Skyhigh Networks’ CloudTrust™ Program for Infinite Protect, one of its newest offerings.  In April, Infinitely Virtual was awarded “Enterprise-Ready” status for its Cloud Server Hosting, Infinitely Virtual InfiniteVault and Virtual Terminal Server offerings.

Skyhigh identifies and classifies thousands of cloud services and provides an objective and detailed evaluation of the enterprise-readiness of each cloud service based on a detailed set of criteria developed in conjunction with the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). The evaluation spans five categories:

  • Data attributes
  • User and device attributes
  • Service attributes
  • Business attributes
  • Legal attributes

“Companies seek enterprise-ready services such as Infinitely Virtual’s InfiniteProtect, but vetting the capabilities and policies of a provider consumes a great deal of time and resources,” said Kamal Shah, vice-president of products and marketing at Skyhigh Networks. “The Skyhigh CloudTrust Rating™ shortens the evaluation process from weeks to hours by offering an objective, holistic assessment of a service provider’s security capabilities and enterprise readiness."

Unveiled in March, InfiniteProtect is the first cloud-based backup/disaster recovery solution to support file retention for an unlimited period of time — and to make disaster recovery capabilities available to users outside of Infinitely Virtual’s hosted environment.  Aimed at existing and new users alike, InfiniteProtect enables hosted server customers to increase backup retention from the current 28 days to any duration the customer specifies.  For those who choose not to move to the company’s virtual environment, InfiniteProtect can serve as the backup option; if the local server goes offline, InfiniteProtect, mirroring the local disk, provides disaster recovery.

“We’re once again honored and regard the Skyhigh designation as a significant validation of the principles that have guided the company since its founding,” said Adam Stern, founder and CEO, Infinitely Virtual.  “Skyhigh evaluates thousands of cloud services and presents its Enterprise-Ready seal only to those that have the highest possible CloudTrust rating, so this represents a tremendous vote of confidence for us.  Skyhigh’s mission -- to help IT securely enable the cloud services that drive productivity and innovation in their business – dovetails with ours, and underscores that the cloud has become today’s compute environment of choice, whatever a company’s size or niche.”

More than 400 organizations across all major verticals rely on CloudTrust ratings to make recommendations on which services they should embrace and recommend to their employees. Skyhigh customers include Aetna, Cisco, DIRECTV, HP, and Western Union, among many others.
