Softchoice has been named VMware's Canada Partner of the Year for 2014. The award recognizes a tremendous growth year for Softchoice's VMware business propelled by Softchoice's assessment services, best-in-class license management practice, and deep expertise in implementing and managing virtualized data center solutions.

"We're thrilled to be named VMware's Canada Partner of the Year," said David MacDonald, Softchoice's President and CEO. "The excellent results we've seen in the last year are the culmination of added focus and investments in dedicated resources, successful marketing programs, and new proprietary assessment and managed services offerings designed to help clients optimize their virtual infrastructure."

Softchoice is a VMware certified Premier Corporate Reseller, certified VSP and VCP, and authorized consultant with specializations in business continuity, desktop virtualization, infrastructure virtualization, virtualizing business critical applications, and cloud IaaS.

Almost all of Softchoice's VMware engagements start with a TechCheck assessment to help clients identify gaps and opportunities to streamline license renewals, manage their growing virtual environments, and take full advantage of their VMware investments. From there, Softchoice's dedicated Solution Architects and Solution Engineers design and implement VMware technology roadmaps, and help clients manage and optimize their virtualized environment in real time through the company's Keystone Managed Services offerings.

"VMware Canada's primary route to market is through the partner channel," said Donna Wittmann, Executive Director, Commercial and Partner Business, VMware Canada. "We are pleased to recognize the achievements' of Softchoice in 2014 by naming them our Canadian Partner of the Year. We congratulate them on their achievement and are excited about our continued partnership as we help customers accelerate their transition to the mobile cloud era."
